History

The Inspire Center began as a start-up venture through the Carolina Challenge, an entrepreneurial business competition based at UNC-Chapel Hill. By networking with department divisions at UNC and East Carolina University, the Inspire Center team expanded their ideas to inform the public on the following mental illnesses: ADHD, anxiety, Bipolar disorder and depression.

The creation of the Inspire Center pamphlets presented the venture with the opportunity to connect with UNC Counseling and Wellness Services. The pamphlets will be distributed at the aforementioned UNC facility, where students can gain information on the four disorders, locations in which students can find help, and a link to the Inspire Center website.

Inspire Center created a Facebook group page as another communicative vehicle, giving the venture the opportunity to reach out to supporters, networking communities, and professionals.
